Diesel Technology is for students who are interested in medium and heavy-duty diesels as found in today’s transportation industry. This is a two-year program that follows NATEF (National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation) guidelines. Students will spend time in both classroom studies and in the laboratory developing hands-on skills. Live and simulated units will be used for instruction. Students must be interested in heavy-duty equipment repair and have some mechanical aptitude. Students need the ability to work with tools, sophisticated machines, solve problems, troubleshoot and develop professional customer service skills.
