Culinary Arts
Instructor: †Mrs. Betsy Anderson

Culinary Arts is a two-year program, which prepares students to work in the hospitality industry. Units of study include sanitation, equipment safety, food preparation, knife skills, commercial kitchen equipment use, recipes and conversions, baking and cake decorating, table setting, customer service, job skills and interviewing skills, as well as leadership and character education.†Students prepare and serve luncheons and banquets. The students compete in various local, state, and possibly national competitions. Students can obtain Pro-Start Certification and Serve-Safe Certification, which is endorsed by the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation.
